Do you design all of your own jewelry?
Yes, I design all  of the jewelry and make it as well. I get most of my clay designs from animals, natural elements, plants and believe it or not, interesting patterns on people's clothes that I happen to see.

What kind of beads do you use and what are they made of exactly?
I use natural semi-precious stones, made by nature, polished by man: lol. In addition I make my own custom polymer clay beads that I make influenced by the ancient African trade bead tradition. This combines ancient art technology with modern production materials and creates a myriad of colors and possibilities that I can manipulate to create a desired effect.

As a male in a female dominated profession, how do you come up with designs that appeal to both men and women?
I don't worry about the men, I primarily focus on women's jewelry lol. I draw inspiration from photographs of ancient people (for ex. Nefertiti), jewelry worn by royalty and I also get invaluable feedback  from my clientele that helps me tap into the pulse of the individuals that buy my product. So basically people tell me what they want, I make it and we go from there.

Hey, I love making jewelry and would like to learn your techniques. Do you teach?
Yes I do. In the near future, I will be offering how to videos on this site so you can learn some particular techniques. I  will also be uploading videos on YouTube in the future so keep checking back for updates!

I have a specific design in mind that I would like. Do you create custom beads and jewelry?
Everyday. Just tell me what you would like and I can create it. Just email me an image or a description of what you desire.

Do you only make jewelry?

No, I make three dimensional clay artwork which you can see at  www.aaronel-amin.com
